Sherdog.com Staff Aug 5, 2005
Former PRIDE heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo
Nogueira (pictures) is in recovery mode after surgery
last Saturday to an injured arm, sources close to the Brazilian
told Sherdog.com.
Part of the healing process will see Nogueira spend time at Florida's American Top Team.
Depending on the progress of his rehabilitation, "Minotauro" could fight former K-1 World Grand Prix champion Mark Hunt (pictures) as soon as October.
If he is unable to step back into the ring by the fall, sources in his camp indicate he'll face the winner of August 28's PRIDE heavyweight title fight between champion Fedor Emelianenko (pictures) and challenger Mirko Filipovic (pictures) in December.
