Barnett: Nogueira Still Has Skills, But Living on Chin Can’t Last

Josh Barnett, on “Beatdown,” discussing Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira’s win over Brendan Schaub:

“I still think that [Nogueira’s] not quite the fighter that he used to be in that his brain has been rattled around a bit much over the years. He’s always been the kind of guy to live on his chin and then come back on a person or just take an inordinate amount of punishment throughout the course of the fight. Eventually that ability wears off. There’s just no way that it won’t. The human body can only take so much. I think that he is quite susceptible to getting KO’d now because of it, but I know he’s still an athlete possessing great skills.”
