Brent Brookhouse Joins Press Row

Every Wednesday, Administrative Editor Jordan Breen welcomes a member of the mixed martial arts media into “Press Row” on the Sherdog.com blog. This week, Breen is joined by BloodyElbow.com managing editor Brent Brookhouse.

Following a spate of thrilling bouts in both MMA and boxing, Breen and Brookhouse examine the always-intriguing relationship between the two prizefighting realms. The pair discuss Bob Arum's curious, memetic role in MMA history as well as Dana White recently calling the Top Rank boss a "moron," how the UFC's product has increasingly come to resemble boxing's model and why it might be inevitable and how the success of MMA over the last five years may have done more good for boxing than the sport could muster itself.

The pair also opine on whether budding boxing star Adrien Broner is more interesting than any present UFC champion, the return of both combat sports to primetime network television and the ongoing mainstream media narratives that encircle each sport.
