Coenen:
“I was not comfortable in the choke. I’m not going to lie. It didn’t feel good, but I wasn’t at the point where I felt like I had to tap yet. I know my cornermen were saying, ‘Were you going to tap?’ I’m like, ‘What are you talking about? No, I wasn’t going to tap.’ I guess I brought my hand out, but when your head is twisted upside-down and you can’t see anything, really I knew I had to create an angle to loosen pressure. I wasn’t going to tap at that point, but I was thinking, ‘This better not get any tighter. I have to do something.’ At first a little panic, then I was like, ‘OK, relax. I can still breathe fine. I’m not comfortable, but I can breathe. All right, now think.’”
