Clifford’s a Jack of All Trades for MMA

R.J. Clifford describes himself as a “poor-man’s Kenny Florian.”

Florian is a former three-time UFC world title challenger who also works as an MMA broadcaster for ESPN.

“OK, more like a dirt-poor Kenny Florian,” Clifford said.

Clifford, who grew up in Huntington Beach, Calif., and currently lives in Long Beach, Calif., is an MMA fighter, MMA announcer, MMA talkshow host and an MMA writer.

“Just the whole idea of being able to do what I like all the time …”, Clifford said, “There have been plenty of times in my life where I didn’t have a job and didn’t know where I was going to get my next paycheck at. I had a lot of (bad) jobs in my day. Being able to put food on my table and pay the electric bill doing something I love is a real blessing.”
