Most fighters spend the final week before a fight cutting the final pounds off their bodies, so they can make the weight limit. Not heavyweights.

UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos and Frank Mir knocked out some Bone-In Ribeye steaks at Morton’s in Burbank on Monday before fielding questions from the media about their showdown at UFC 146 on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on pay-per-view.

Here’s what the fighters had to say:

How was your trip from Brazil?

JDS: “It was a long trip from Brazil. It was almost 24 hours traveling. I’m a little bit tired now, but I’m feeling good. This week, we have a big fight. It’s my first title defense and I’m looking forward to being in the cage again.”

Any effects from the knee injury you suffered in the fight against Cain Velasquez?

JDS: “I’m doing great. I feel 100 percent now. I did surgery on my knee after the fight and the recovery was very good. It went well. I feel 100 percent.”
