Dylan Salvador to Fill In for Davit Kiria at Glory 36: Germany

Glory announced early Thursday that Davit Kiria has pulled out of his Glory 36: Germany bout with Anatoly Moiseev, which is part of the event’s one-night, four-man Lightweight Contender Tournament. No official reason has been released as to why Kiria, a former Glory lightweight champ, has withdrawn but Moiseev will remain on the card against a replacement opponent with much more kickboxing experience in the pro ranks.

Stepping in for Kiria will be Dylan Salvador (45-11-1, 19 KO), a French Muay Thai fighter who has a 1-1 record with current lightweight king Sittichia Sitsongpeenong. Salvador has fought all over the world in some of the top organizations, but he has to yet to step foot into the Glory ring. If the Frenchman is to win the one-night, four-man tournament, he’ll be granted a shot at a rubber match with Sittichai.

Glory 36: Germany will kick off what is expected to be a memorable night for the promotion. Sittichai will defend his title against Marat Grigorian in the main event, with featherweights Mosab Amrani and Fabio Pinca locking horns in the co-featured bout. Opposite Salvador-Moiseev will be Yodkhunpon Sitmonchail fighting Hysni Beqiri in the other tourney tussle.

The Glory 36 SuperFight Series undercard will actually follow the main card and will be anchored by a lightweight clash between Danyo Ilunga and Michael Duut. Welterweights Harut Grigorian and Danijel Solaja will collide and the Glory Women’s Super Bantamweight Grand Prix Semifinals will commence as Tiffany van Soest will take on Jessica Gladstone and Isis Verbeek will tango with Amel Dehby. Rounding out the undercard will see Andrej Bruhl standing opposite Tyjani Beztati at lightweight.

The icing on the cake will be the history Glory: Collision mega event that see heavyweight champion Rico Verhoeven defending his throne against Badr Hari in what many are proclaiming as the greatest heavyweight showdown in years. The welterweight title will be at stake as well when champion Nieky Holzken takes on challenger Cedric Doubme in the co-feature. Heavyweights Ismael Londt and Jamal Ben Saddik will collide and kicking off the Collision card will be the finals of the Women’s Super Bantamweight Grand Prix.

Glory 36: Germany goes down Dec. 10 and will be streamed live on ESPN3 beginning at 11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT, followed by the SuperFight Series at 1:30 p.m. ET/10:30 a.m. PT on UFC Fight Pass. Glory: Collision will be aired live on American pay-per-view beginning at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT (UFC Fight Pass internationally).
