Evangelista’s Choke Was Deep, But Noons Knew Escape

By Sherdog.com Staff Dec 26, 2011
K.J. Noons, on “Beatdown,” discussing the standing choke he escaped against Billy Evangelista:

“That thing was so deep. I was winded after that. It was deep. The fight can just change in MMA so fast. I think that’s what people love about the sport. … I’ve been in that move a lot of times, and we’ve practiced how to get out of it. It’s not like I wasn’t [comfortable] in that position. We’re always doing that move in the gym. It was deep, but we train that a lot in the gym.”
