In a relatively short period of time, Ronda Rousey has acquired a devoted fan base.
And while the Olympic judoka’s popularity has continued to rise in the wake of her becoming the UFC’s first-ever female bantamweight champion, Carey Fusco has been a follower of Rousey’s for years now. When Fusco crossed paths with Rousey at a Tuff-N-Uff event in Mesquite, Ariz., this past weekend, she elected to take her fanhood to a whole new level.
According to a report in larrybrownsports.com, Fusco “rolled up her pants, pushed down her socks and let Rousey draw her initials on her ankle.” Fusco would later have the autograph tattooed on that very same spot, making her allegiance to the fighter practically permanent.
“The way I look at it, I have a custom tattoo designed by Ronda Rousey, somebody who has changed the face of MMA forever. I was a fan before she blew up, and watched her career transform and grow. Such an inspiration,” Fusco told larrybrownsports.com.
