Jessica Aguilar, on “Beatdown,” discussing whether being openly gay has caused any issues for her in MMA:

“I don’t think so. Not for me at least. This is who I am. I’m not hiding anything. For me, it doesn’t affect me a bit. It doesn’t affect my girlfriend, and it shouldn’t affect anybody else. This is our sport. Being in the light, obviously people are going to want to know about us. This is who we are. They have to accept who we are and just embrace it. You know what? It’s all about the sport at the end of the day.”
