Golden Boy Promotions is set to return to ESPN for another night of fistic fireworks with an intriguing super featherweight encounter. Unbeaten Alberto Machado will take on Carlos Morales in the main event and at Thursday’s weigh-ins, the two fighters were on point.

Morales (16-1-3, 6 KOs) started off his pro career in the tank, losing his pro debut and then having three straight draws. Since then, the California-based Mexico native has won every single fight he’s been in. “The Solution” is coming off a split decision win over Cesar Alan Valenzuela in May and at the scale, he came in at 130 pounds.

Machado (17-0, 15 KOs) has been steamrolling everybody like they were asphalt as he’s scored a dozen consecutive knockouts. The Puerto Rican is coming off a stoppage of Juan Jose Martinez in April and aims to do the same on Friday. “El Explosivo” tipped the scale at130 pounds as well.

The action will be televised live from inside Complejo Ferial in Ponce, Puerto Rican; the ESPN broadcast begins at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
