Glory Announces Three Additional Events for 2017

Glory announced its next five events on Friday afternoon. With Glory 37 Los Angeles and Glory 38 Chicago in the rearview mirror, the organization is headed back overseas for the next few months.

With Glory 39: Brussels on March 25 and Glory 40: Copenhagen previously announced, The Netherlands and France will host the next two cards, followed by a return to the Big Apple.

Glory 41: Holland is set for May 20 at Brabanthallen’s-Hertogenbosch in Den Bosch. Headlining that event will be former Glory lightweight and featherweight champion Robin van Roosmalen (37-7, 21 KOs) vying to regain his featherweight crown. The Dutch specialist toppled Canadian Matt Embree at Glory 37, but he missed weight and was stripped of his title. Since he triumphed over Embree, the title became vacant. No opponent has been revealed for van Roosmalen as of yet.

On June 10, Glory will invade AccorHotels Arena in Paris. Though no bouts have been officially announced for the event, the Glory 42: Paris cards will include a one-night four-man lightweight contender tournament and bouts for both the Glory welterweight and lightweight divisions.

Finally, Glory 43: New York takes place on July 21 with a card inside the Theater at Madison Square Garden, though no details of the event has been unveiled.

“We're off to a strong start this year in terms of excitement about the Glory brand and providing the best possible experience for live audiences,” said Glory CEO Jon Franklin. “With two incredibly successful events already in the books, for mid-year, we're now looking ahead to iconic venues in familiar locales, including the biggest and brightest cities in the world. Then it's on to new territory in the second half of 2017, combining visits to major markets with highly anticipated debuts in others.”
