Glory Kickboxing has its sights set on Asia for brand expansion later this year and in a logical move, the U.S.-based promotion has inked deals with three Chinese fighters. Glory officials announced the move Tuesday afternoon that the trio will make their promotional debuts in Glory events scattered throughout the spring.
Meng Qinghao (26-4, 6 KOs) will be the first of three to step foot inside a Glory ring. The 23-year-old, who also serves as a member of the Chinese People’s Armed Police Force, will compete in a 150-pound catchweight battle at on the Glory 39 SuperFight Series undercard in Brussels on March 25, though no opponent has been named.
The SuperFight Series undercard at Glory 40: Copenhagen will see Yuhang Xie (22-4, 9 KOs) take on American Chris Mauceri. Xie, who is just 18, has already captured the 2016 WMF World Muay Thai Amateur silver medal.
Finally, the Glory 41 SuperFight Series will be the debut event for Chenglong Zhang (38-4, 11 KOs), who is also without an opponent as of now. The 19-year-old has already scooped up titles from The Legend of Emel, Max Muay Thai and TopKing.
