On Saturday night, one of boxing’s most exciting all-action fighters will be on full display as Mexico City’s Francisco Vargas will put his WBC super featherweight title on the line against Miguel Berchelt. The duel will headline a card at Fantasy springs Casino in Indio, California, with HBO televising the fireworks live at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

The 130 pounders both weighed in on point at Friday’s weigh-ins, giving the event the anticipated green light. Bercheclt (30-1, 27 KOs) was the first of the two to tip that scale and he came in at 129.8 pounds. Vargas (23-0-2, 17 KOs), who has been involved in the Fight of the Year in both 2015 and ’16, came in ready at 129.6 pounds.

The co-feature will see Takashi Miura (30-3-2, 23 KOs) collide with Mickey Roman (56-11, 43 KOs) in a WBC super bantamweight eliminator. Miura, a tough Japanese warrior who was stopped late in the award-winning war with Vargas in ’15, checked in at 129.8 pounds. Roman, meanwhile, has come up short in bids to win the lightweight and featherweight world titles. This could be his last chance at gold; he weighed in at 129.2 pounds.
