Lion Fight 29 Bolsters Main Card With Four More Bouts
Lion Fight 29, which goes down May 27 at Foxwoods Resort and Casino
in Mashantucket, Conn., has added four bouts to its main card.
Julio Pena, who is coming off a spectacular knockout of Tim Amorim at Lion Fight 26, will take on Travis Clay. Pena (4-0), who doubles as a sheriff in Suffolk County, N.Y., has scored back-to-back knockouts in the Lion Fight ring and hopes to continue that trend against Clay (1-0), whose first fight in the organization came against former UFC fighter Jared Papazian.
Also added to the marquee is a super lightweight clash between Asa
Ten Pow (1-0) and Marvin Madariaga (5-1-1) and a welterweight
battle between Brian del Rosario (4-2) and PJ Sweda (1-0). Finally,
John Nofer (7-1) will square off against Jared Tipton (1-1) in a
featherweight tussle.
Lion Fight 29 will be anchored by “Smokin” Jo Nattawut defending his super welterweight championship against an opponent to be announced. The co-feature will see former lightweight champ Ognjen Topic locking horns withonetime Lumpinee Stadium king Dechsakda Sitsongpeenong.
The main card will be televised live on AXS-TV starting at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
