Muay Thai Great Saenchai to Make Glory Debut on June 25
In a monumental move for the world of kickboxing and muay Thai,
Glory announced late Wednesday that it has signed Saenchai
PKSaenchaimuaythaigym, who will fill in for the injured Mosab
Amrani to face Eddy Nait-Slimani in the co-main event of the Glory
31 SuperFight Series undercard.
Saenchai (315-43-2, 55 KOs) is regarded by many as arguably the greatest pound-for-pound fighter in muay Thai history. He has captured the legendary Lumpinee Stadium championship in four different weight classes as well as WMC and WBC titles and the 2010 Toyota Cup tournament championship.
“Saenchai is not only one of the best muay Thai fighters in the
world right now, but one of the very best ever,” said Glory Head of
Talent Operations Cor Hemmers. “With Amrani falling off the
Amsterdam card, this was the first chance to get our new signing in
front of the fans. We came together and now the stage is set for
June 25.”
Glory 31 will unfold at RAI Amsterdam in Holland on June 25. The SuperFight Series will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass with the main card following live on ESPN3. The live stream on UFC Fight Pass will begin at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT.
The Glory 31 SuperFight Series undercard will be headlined by Zack Mwekassa (14-3, 12 KOs) taking on Mourad Bouzidi (79-22-2, 34 KOs).
