Nate Wilcox Joins Press Row

Every Wednesday, Administrative Editor Jordan Breen welcomes a member of the mixed martial arts media into “Press Row” on the Sherdog.com blog. This week, Breen is joined by Nate Wilcox, founding editor of BloodyElbow.com.

Immediately following Dana White and Lorenzo Fertitta unveiling the UFC's plans for comprehensive out-of-competition drug testing in Las Vegas, Breen and Wilcox convene to discuss the announcement, its timing and the most important factors in the UFC's decision to do out-of-competition testing at all, after publicly nixing the idea not long ago. The two investigate the potentially stiffer penalties for offenders, whether they will act as a deterrent, whether Zuffa could enforce many of their own provisions and how successfully they can lobby athletic commissions to change their testing efforts via the UFC's initiatives.

Breen and Wilcox also discuss whether or not the UFC can turn its negative publicity into positive media attention for its drug testing efforts, whether or not Anderson Silva will fully transform into a Zuffa scapegoate and much, much more.

Grab your credential and get a seat in “Press Row.”
