PBC on NBC Weigh-in Results: Spence, Bundu on Point

2012 Olympian Errol Spence Jr. is the best young welterweight in the world and he seems destined for greatness, and if he wins on Sunday afternoon against Leonard Bundu, he’ll be lined up for his first world title bout.

Spence and Bundu will headline another Premier Boxing Champions card on NBC on Sunday, with the telecast fitting snugly betwixt the final day of Olympic boxing and the closing ceremonies of the 2016 Games down in Rio. The welterweight showdown will go down at Ford Amphitheatre in Coney Island in Brooklyn.

Bundu (33-1-2, 12 KOs) will be the most experienced opponent that Spence will have faced up to this point in his career and has won two straight since losing to reigning WBA champion Keith Thurman almost two years ago.

At Saturday’s weigh-ins, both Spence and Bundu came in identically at 146.2 pounds, giving their intriguing showdown the green light. The action will air live on NBC beginning at 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT.
