By Marcelo Alonso Jun 9, 2011
This July, Portal do Vale Tudo will celebrate its 10th anniversary, and readers all over the world will receive a special gift: PVT now has a slimmer, more dynamic and up-to-date page, with daily content both in Portuguese and English. Radio PVT, Brazilian MMA's leading podcast, now appears on the homepage, as does PVT Mag, which just had its 19th edition released.

This month's PVT Mag features a special report about a common drama in any athlete's career: retirement.

The topic has been hot recently in MMA, after the retirement of Randy Couture and more recently, Brazilian fighter Murilo "Ninja" Rua.

In addition to tributes to these two icons of our sport, PVT Mag investigates the subject: when is the right time to stop and what are the chances in the labor market for retired MMA athletes?

This edition of PVT Mag also has an exclusive interview with Fabricio Werdum, in which he urges Brazilians to cheer for him in the Strikeforce heavyweight grand prix quarterfinal against Alistair Overeem. Werdum discusses why he feels Brazilian fan don't trust him as they should, even after beating long-time heavyweight ruler Fedor Emelianenko.

Also in this issue: UFC heavyweight Junior dos Santos shows us one of his preferred BJJ positions, and PVT Mag examines the heroic participation of Leonardo Castello Branco and Roberto Traven in Russian vale tudo in 1997.
