SRN Rewind Teaser: Nick Newell

If the fact that he was born without an arm past his left elbow is all you know about Nick Newell, then you don't grasp the totality of what makes him exceptional.

Perhaps not since Major League Baseball pitcher Jim Abbott has a one-handed athlete so excelled at a sport as the 8-0 Newell has in mixed martial arts. Coming off his first clean KO win, Newell goes for his first MMA championship, the XFC lightweight crown, on Dec. 7.

This Sunday, Newell joins Sherdog Radio Network host Jack Encarnacao for a "Sunday Sitdown" chat to discuss how he's jumped, broken through and maneuvered around his life's hurdles, and how he manages to perform as ably as any in the cage. It's an inspiring tale, told with a refreshing frankness and humor.
