Showtime Championship Boxing Weigh-In Results: Jhonny Gonzalez-Gary Russell Official

Jhonny Gonzalez will defend his WBC featherweight title against Gary Russell in the main event of Showtime Championship Boxing on Friday.

Both men met the required mark of 126 pounds during weigh-ins on Friday. The event will emanate from the Palms Casino and Resort in Las Vegas and airs live on Showtime.

Gonzalez (57-8, 48 KOs) will be making the second defense of his belt since winning it from Abner Mares in 2013. Russell (25-1, 14 KOs), who competed in the Olympics in 2008, bounced back from the first loss of his career in his last outing, grabbing a unanimous decision over Christopher Martin.

In the co-main event, Jermell Charlo (25-0, 11 KOs) and Vanes Martirosyan (35-1-1, 21 KOs) will square off in junior middleweights action.
