Stacked SuperFight Series Undercard Added to Glory 32: Virginia
Glory has finalized its next card, which is set for July 22 in
Norfolk, Va. Glory 32: Virginia will commence inside the Ted
Constant Convocation Center and will hope to electrify fight fans
with a loaded main card and SuperFight Series undercard.
Headlining the Glory marquee will be featherweight champion Serhiy Adamchuk (33-5, 14 KOs) looking to defend his throne against Gabriel Varga (27-3, 8 KOs). Adamchuk already holds a win over the Canadian, which occurred last November for the vacant Glory featherweight crown he’s expecting to retain. The Ukrainian defended it once against Mosab Amrani before stepping up on very short notice to fight Mohammed El Mir at lightweight at Glory 29 in April.
Varga would like nothing more than to avenge the loss to Adamchuk.
He left Glory in January to topple Chinese Liu Wei on a Hero
Legends card and in the process, he scooped up that promotion’s
featherweight belt. He wants to add the Glory title to his
collection and he’ll get his chance later this month.
Glory 32 will also feature a four-man one-night light heavyweight contender tournament. The first semifinal matchup will see Pavel Zhuravlev (69-10, 25 KOs) facing Ariel Machado (48-6, 33 KOs) while the other side of the bracket will contain a matchup between Manny Mancha (5-2, 4 KOs) and Zinedine Hameur-Lain (54-13, 33 KOs).
Glory 32: Virginia’s main card will be televised live on ESPN3 starting at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, with a replay on ESPN2 at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT.
The Glory 32 SuperFight Series undercard will be anchored by a heavyweight showdown between Chi Lewis-Parry (6-1, 2 KOs) and Maurice Greene (4-2, 2 KOs). Anderson “Braddock” Silva (39-14-1, 24 KOS) will oppose Gordon Haupt (20-6-1, 6 KOs) in the co-feature slot.
Rounding out the undercard will be a Glory Women’s Super Bantamweight Grand Prix reserve bout between Funda Alkayis (28-2, 12 KOs) and Vanessa De Waele; Francois Ambang (15-6, 6 KOs) standing opposite Michael Stevens (8-5, 3 KOs) at welterweight; and Giga Chikadze (34-4, 20 KOs) facing off against Chris Mauceri (7-2, 2 KOs) in a featherweight scrap.
The Glory 32 SuperFight Series undercard will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT.
