I can compare that fight to the Mirko [‘Cro Cop’ Filipovic] fight in 2003, in Pride, when I threw myself onto the mat after I won the interim title. To fight in Brazil was the most remarkable experience ever in my career, even greater than winning a title. To be a national idol without fighting in your country isn’t the same thing. To see that crowd screaming and supporting me, and adding the fact I was coming from three surgeries; that I’ve walked on crutches for five months ...”
