Daniel Cormier still has doubters.
Cormier rendered former two-division Pride Fighting Championships titleholder Dan Henderson unconscious with a third-round rear-naked choke in the UFC 173 co-main event on Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The 35-year-old American Kickboxing Academy standout remained unbeaten, improved to 4-0 inside the Octagon and established himself as a serious contender for the Ultimate Fighting Championship light heavyweight crown currently held by Jon Jones.
Despite his success in two weight classes, some wonder whether or not he has what it takes to dethrone Jones. The 26-year-old champion captured the 205-pound title in March 2011 and has since defended it a record seven times, defeating Quinton Jackson, Lyoto Machida, Rashad Evans, Vitor Belfort, Chael Sonnen, Alexander Gustafsson and Glover Teixeira in succession.
