Dustin Poirier has made his desires known. He hopes to test Conor McGregor in the not-too-distant future.
McGregor improved to 3-0 in the Ultimate Fighting Championship on Saturday, as he put away Diego Brandao with first-round punches in the UFC Fight Night “McGregor vs. Brandao” main event at The O2 in Dublin. The 26-year-old Irishman has ruffled many a feather with his bravado but has thus far backed up his talk through his efforts in the cage.
Poirier, 25, owns victories over Brandao, Roufusport’s Erik Koch and “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 12 winner Jonathan Brookins. A dynamic offensive martial artist who invites firefights, the American Top Team featherweight sports 13 finishes among his 16 career victories. Poirier has lost to only two men at 145 pounds: Chan Sung Jung and Cub Swanson.
