Two-time Ultimate Fighting Championship welterweight titleholder Georges St. Pierre will celebrate his 33rd birthday on May 19.

“Rush” last fought at UFC 167 in November, when he retained the 170-pound championship with a contentious split decision over Johny Hendricks at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Afterward, the Tristar Gym representative took an indefinite leave of absence and vacated the welterweight crown. St. Pierre has since undergone reconstructive knee surgery -- the second such procedure of his career -- to repair a torn ACL. Wins over Matt Hughes (twice), B.J. Penn (twice), Josh Koscheck (twice), Jon Fitch, Carlos Condit and Nick Diaz highlight his stellar resume, and his 19 victories inside the Octagon rank first on the all-time list.

St. Pierre has also dabbled in acting, having appeared in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.” It was recently announced that he will star in an upcoming remake of the 1989 cult hit “Kickboxer,” which featured Jean-Claude Van Damme.
