Tristen Critchfield Joins Press Row

By Jordan Breen Oct 26, 2011

Every Wednesday, Administrative Editor Jordan Breen welcomes a member of the mixed martial arts media into “Press Row” on the blog. This week, Breen is joined by Albuquerque Journal sports reporter and featured writer Tristen Critchfield.

Despite its postponement, Breen and Critchfield discuss a Georges St. Pierre-Carlos Condit bout, and what the fight could mean for teammate-versus-teammate bouts in MMA going forward. The two look at changing attitudes within Albuquerque's top MMA gym about fighting training partners, the role of super-gyms in contemporary MMA, and whether or not Greg Jackson's protocols for teammates fighting one another could set a precedent in the sport.

The pair also discuss MMA's most important potential teammate clashes, the in-gym dynamics of Jackson's MMA and more.

Grab your credential and get a seat in “Press Row.”
