Two Title Bouts Anchor Lion Fight 37
Las Vegas-based Muay Thai promotion Lion Fight returns to Foxwoods
Resort Casino on July 28 with what is expected to be another
excellent night of action. The promotion announced Wednesday that
two of its world titles will be at stake in the featured bouts of
Lion Fight 37.
Jo Nattawut is set to defend his super welterweight title against iconic Thai fighter Petchtanong Banchamek in the main event. “Smokin” Jo (58-7-2) has already defended his super welterweight title three times, having turned away Cedric Manhoef, Hasan Toy and Kengsiam Nor Srupeung. But standing in his way is Banchamek, who has an amazing 345 victories under his belt, along with multiple world titles.
The Lion Fight 37 co-feature will see Paul Banasiak and Chip
Moraza-Pollard go head-to-head for the vacant cruiserweight title.
Both men have been impressive in their Lion Fight showings and are
primed to hoist the belt over their head with a win.
In other televised action, Amine Ballafrikh will take on Johncy Lindor in a lightweight battle; Alexander Olave will collide with Eric Rocha at welterweight; and Jafar Toshev will lock horns with Geoffrey Then, also at lightweight.
AXS TV will televise the action, which begins at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
