UFC Fight Night ‘Namajunas vs. VanZant’: The Forum Threads

When the dust settled at UFC Fight Night “Namajunas vs. VanZant” we learned one thing from scouring the Sherdog.com forums to search out the best threads: Sage Northcutt is a star.

You might ask why I say that with a ton of the threads being negative? Well, if people are talking about him, that means people care. If people care, that makes him a star.

On a night that Rose Namajunas dominated Paige VanZant, even “Thug Rose” got no love in the forums. That is a shame for sure after her performance, which was bar-none the best of the night. Also, there was not a peep about Aljamain Sterling being buried on the undercard but still having a great performance and looking like a star in the making. That’s not to mention Tim Means’ sweet knockout of John Howard.

Say what you want about Dana White, but he knows what sells. That’s why he pinned VanZant and Northcutt as the next big stars. According to the reactions on the forums, he was right on target.
