Video: Chuck Liddell Struggles Through Interview on UFC’s Drug Testing Issues

Chuck Liddell doesn’t seem to have a good grasp on the UFC’s drug testing policy. In an interview on Fox News “Sports Court,” the former UFC light heavyweight champion appears to be woefully unprepared to discuss the issues that have plagued the Las Vegas-based promotion in recent months.

Most notably, the UFC’s executive vice president of business development was not aware that Anderson Silva’s recent failed test came from a drug screening administered ahead of -- not after -- UFC 183. In fact, Liddell didn’t seem to know that pre-fight drug tests are quite common now.

“I thought those were post-fight tests to my knowledge,” Liddell said. “In my experience, they don’t take them before [a fight] unless you’ve had a previous issue.”
