Woodley Enjoys Nullifying Opponents’ Games
Tyron
Woodley, on “The Savage
Dog Show,” discussing fans and his mindset in the cage:
“They want to see a knockout. They want to see kickboxing fights. They want to see just wars and people going back and forth and bloodied. Guess what? I would rather fight a guy and stop everything he’s doing and try to have some good moments in the fight, win, continue moving closer toward the belt [than] take a loss. You take half of your check home. Those are variables that people don’t realize. I love the fans and I want them to be happy, but at the end of the day, I’ve got a wife. I’ve got a kid. I’ve got a goal [to be] a Strikeforce titleholder that I’ve got to achieve. That’s what’s in the back of my mind.”
