With World Series of Fighting's second offering in the books, Breen and Martin take stock of the fledgling promotion's efforts thus far. The two look at the strengths and weaknesses of the promotion so far, how its commentary has adversely impacted its product, Paulo Filho, the curiously chosen role of Ray Sefo and whether or not it even makes sense for the promotion to crown divisional champions.
Breen and Martin also weigh in on the modern freakshow aspect of promoting Anthony Johnson, what weight class his future lies in and who ultimately might be next for “Rumble.”

“Not many times in a fight do you really feel anything. It’s kind of like you’re on autopilot -- you don’t really feel. But he was the first guy that I actually thought, ‘Dang, he hits very hard. He’s very strong. He’s very heavy.’ It wasn’t even necessarily his strength; it was more just his heaviness and his solidness.”

Middleweight a ‘Healthier’ Weight Class for ‘Rumble’
By: Brian Knapp
When Anthony Johnson collides with Vitor Belfort in the UFC 142 co-main event on Saturday at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, it will mark his arrival in the middleweight division. A physical specimen who burst on the scene at 170 pounds, the man they call “Rumble” has been known to make one of the more drastic weight cuts in the sport. During a pre-fight teleconference for UFC 142, Johnson lauded the benefits of becoming a middleweight:

“When I fight Johnson -- I’m putting this out there. I don’t care. I’m probably going to get in trouble for it; I just don’t care. They [better get] the biggest ref out there cause if I knock him out, I’m going to keep going. I’m not stopping. They’ll [have to] hold me down and tie me up, something, put cuffs on me. Because it’s personal.”
