“Quite a bit, because I get months -- it’s not like the UFC is giving me fights every two, three months, which I would like. I get about five months between each fight, five, six months. So I’ve got plenty of time to sit there and think about what I want to do. For my next fight, I’ve already got something lined up that’s even bigger than the Obama stuff.” -
Jacob Volkmann No Fan of Mitt Romney or Barack Obama
By: Sherdog.com Staff
Jacob Volkmann, on “Beatdown,” discussing whom he’ll vote for in the 2012 U.S. presidential election: “I’m going to be voting for Jacob Volkmann. I’m going to write myself in. ... I’m not going to vote for Romney. I think he’s identical to Obama. I’m not a fan of him. ... I think they have the same policy when it comes to health care. I was watching the straw polls and the debates, and all Romney did ... was just point fingers at the other politicians, and it was really irritating me. I’ve got no respect for Romney at all.”

“I don’t know if I would say that. Jacob Volkmann (Pictured) is a weird dude. He’s always been a weird, kind of awkward guy. A lot of it isn’t show. A lot of is just how he is. He’s just actually kind of letting it out a little bit because people have told him, ‘Hey, let it out.’ And he kind of is, and people are starting to be like, ‘Whoa, that’s kind of crazy,’ but he’s just kind of an awkward guy.”

“It was needed. After that Antonio McKee fight, I felt pretty bad about how I performed because it was such a boring fight. I actually was planning on calling [Obama] out for about two months.
