Wargods Promotions is proud to present the first ever sanctioned Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fights in Monterey County.

MMA is the world’s fastest growing sport, with fans and fighters hailing from every corner of the globe. And, the West Coast is not exception! Last week, the Wargods Promotions reality show, The Fight With-IN began airing locally in Fresno through Comcast, and will be in On-Demand Features soon.

The Wargods Promotions Media Division is also in negotiations with four networks for the rights to broadcast its fights. Some of the fights have already been released on the Wargods Promotions website, www.wargods.tv, MySpace, and YouTube.

This September 12, 2008, Wargods Promotions is bringing you the action at the Salinas Sports Complex in Salinas California! Wargods Promotions is coming to Monterey County hot on the heels of its first MMA event at the Fresno Convention Center.

The Fresno fights were a hugely successful, sold-out event and gave fans an incredible night of hard-hitting action and adrenalin featuring some of the biggest names in the sport! The event is already being touted for bringing some of the best and most exciting fights of the year! The Salinas fights promise to be no less thrilling! These fighters are in top shape and ready to deliver!

It’s an evening of Mixed Martial Arts talent that is not to be missed! The Salinas Sports Complex will welcome two of the most successful fighters from the world famous, Ralph Gracie (Pictures) Jiu-Jitsu Academy which recently took the first prize as a team in the World Jiu-Jitsu Tournament. And, Mauy Thai Boxing legend, James "The Professor" Cook who is undefeated in his young MMA career and the Brazilian Black Belt, Leandro Issa! Some more names and match-ups on the ticket include:

21-win/10-loss deadly striker, B.J. “The Beast” Lacy from Minneapolis vs. Dan Molina (Pictures) from the famous International Fight League (IFL), representing Ken Shamrock (Pictures)’s Lion’s Den.

The American Kickboxing Academy’s newest talent, Nathan James (Pictures) will be taking on middleweight, “The Formula” Elijah Remi. Remi is hot after his giant upset over UFC Heavyweight hopeful, Lavar “Big” Johnson.

From the Monterey Police Department, Officer Ben Davis (Pictures) will take on the up-and-coming MMA talent, Liron Wilson in a heavyweight showdown guaranteed to blow you away! Also on the card for your entertainment:

Lloyd “Kadillac” Marshbanks, already a heavyweight champion in 3 different fight leagues.

Undefeated (5-0) Puerto Rican sensation, Isaac De Jesus

Also undefeated after five fights, young fighter from The American Kickboxing Academy, Nathan Moore

Fresno’s undefeated Heavyweight Champion hopeful, Brandon Cash (Pictures).

Only the second man to ever go undefeated (155-0) in his 4-year collegiate wrestling career, and with a very successful start in Mixed Martial Arts, Marcus Levesseur

And, Salinas’s own Henry Cortez will make his MMA debut that night!
