by Jeff Sherwood

Fight 7 – Kevin Brooks vs Michael Patt (Semifinal LHW Tourney)
Michael Patt needed thirty six seconds to clinch, drop to guard, attempt a guillotine, and then finish Kevin Brooks with a triangle choke, which wasn’t yet locked when Kevin Books tapped.

After the bout, he proposed marriage to his girlfriend, who accepted.

Fight 8 – Jonathan Dye vs Matt Thomas (Single Fight)
Matt Thomas landed a big right to open the bout, then steamrolled Matt Thomas . The referee Mike Gallo jumped in to stop the bout in what many felt was a premature stoppage.

Fight 9 – Dave Vitkay vs Michael Patt (Final LHW Bout)
The tournament final started with Michael Patt dragging Dave Vitkay to his guard and working on a triangle choke. Vitkay performed a textbook Quinton Jackson slam escape. After a scramble, Patt secured the mounted position. He worked his way up Vitkay’s torso, secured his arm, and rolled out into a cross armbar. Vitkay immediately tapped, and Patt won the tournament.

Promoters Lee Coates and Rob Braniff successfully put on their 10th event, and are looking forward to more events in the southeast.
