If perseverance is the harbinger of success then K-1/EliteXC deserve nothing less than a fruitful night for overcoming a series of last second cancellations and miles of athletic commission red tape.

Personally, I'm overjoyed that the partnership between K-1/EliteXC has overcome the odds and now stands poised to deliver their first event. After all, who else is going to answer important questions like "How many former judokas can we cram onto one card?" and "Gee, you think Brock Lesnar (Pictures) could pull off a shooting star press in MMA?" These are the questions that demand answers and K-1/EliteXC is here to pull off the kind of Deus Ex Machina that would make Zeus blush.
