Everybody loves the knockout. Whether it comes from a series of strikes, a volley of elbows, a kick to the head or punches in bunches, nothing in combat sports is more emphatic.

In the latest installment of the Sherdog Top 10 series, we examine the one-punch knockouts that have helped shape the sport of mixed martial arts for more than two decades. From Ultimate Fighting Championship titleholders like Conor McGregor and Rich Franklin to Pride Fighting Championships greats Igor Vovchanchyn and Fedor Emelianenko, the sudden violence from fist meeting face has captured the imagination of a generation and continues to do so.
