Twin Title Fights Highlight WEC 29
Saturday, August 04, 2007
by Tomas Rios (trios@sherdog.com)

If ever there was a reason to tolerate a channel that has the rights to professional hockey broadcasts, Sunday's World Extreme Cagefighting card is it. Featuring a long anticipated welterweight title match between Carlos Condit (Pictures) and Brock Larson (Pictures) as well as the stateside debut of Paulo Filho (Pictures), this is the kind of card that puts some of the UFC's recent Fight Night events to shame.

Whether you're tuning in to the Versus Network at 9 p.m. ET to see Filho rock his flannel cut-offs or you're just that crazy about Frank Mir (Pictures)'s commentary -- I am -- now is the time to jump aboard the WEC bandwagon and pretend you were riding shotgun since day one.

So put the generic mixed martial arts magazine down and get ready for some real MMAnalysis courtesy of the guy who picked Liddell over Rampage … twice.
