By The Numbers: Bubba Jenkins vs. Jesus Pinedo
Life-altering money in Professional Fighters League has thus far eluded Bubba Jenkins.
The two-time NCAA All-American wrestler will toe the line against Jesus Pinedo when their featherweight semifinal headlines PFL 7 on Friday inside the Boeing Center at Tech Point in San Antonio. The winner advances to meet either Gabriel Braga or Chris Wade in the $1 million tournament final. Jenkins steps up to the plate for his latest test on the strength of back-to-back victories. He last appeared on June 8, when he put Sung Bin Jo to sleep with a first-round rear-naked choke. Pinedo, meanwhile, has won five of his past six bouts. He last competed at PFL 4, where he wiped out the heavily favored Brendan Loughnane with a first-round knee strike and follow-up punches.
