By The Numbers: Ray Cooper III vs. Carlos Leal Miranda

Ray Cooper III likes to count in millions.

The heavy-handed Hawaiian will begin his quest for a third consecutive Professional Fighters League welterweight championship and the $1 million prize attached to it when he battles Carlos Leal Miranda in the PFL 3 co-main event on Friday at Esports Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Cooper opens his latest campaign on a six-fight winning streak. He last appeared in the 2021 PFL welterweight final on Oct. 27, when he wiped out Magomed Magomedkerimov with punches in the third round of their rematch. Miranda, meanwhile, jumps into the deep end of the pool following back-to-back victories on the PFL Challenger Series. He last competed at PFL Challenger Series 8, where he eked out a split decision over Chris Brown on April 8.
