Ultimate Fighting Championship bantamweights primed for a breakthrough will square off when Ricky Simon meets Jack Shore in a featured UFC on ABC 3 prelim this Saturday at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York. Both men are currently ranked in the Top 15 at 135 pounds, with ambitions to climb higher.
Simon enters the cage on the strength of a four-fight winning streak. The former Legacy Fighting Alliance champion last competed at UFC Fight Night 199, where he punched out Raphael Assuncao in the second round of their Dec. 18 battle. The undefeated Shore has raced out to a 16-0 record to start his career. The onetime Cage Fury Fighting Championships titleholder last fought on March 19, when he laid claim to a three-round unanimous decision over Timur Valiev at UFC Fight Night 204.
