The two top lightweights will headline UFC 229 with a fight for the ages, and before fans around the world see who the undisputed king at 155 pounds is, read data behind what has made the Dagestani wrestler such a force inside the Octagon.

0: Russian-born Ultimate Fighting Championship champs before Nurmagomedov captured the vacant lightweight title by decisioning Al Iaquinta at UFC 223. It was his 26th win in as many bouts.

6: Fights at ProFC. Before getting signed by the UFC, he competed six times with the Russian-based promotion. Each bout ended inside the opening frame.

10: Wins by decision. Nurmagomedov went the distance 10 times in all his professional wins. In the UFC, he decisioned Gleison Tibau, Trujillo, Healy, dos Anjos, Barboza and Iaquinta.

1: Fight in Brazil, which was at UFC on Fox 7. It also marks the first time he fought outside of Russia, Ukraine or North America.

11: First-round stoppages. Nurmagomedov has a knack for finishing fights early. He did it once in the UFC and 10 times in other promotions.

1: Performance of the Night bonus. He brutalized Barboza for three rounds to score a unanimous decision victory and go home $50,000 richer.
