Luque enters the Octagon on the heels of back-to-back defeats for the first time in his career. The Kill Cliff Fight Club rep last appeared at UFC on ESPN 40, where he succumbed to punches from Geoff Neal in the third round of their Aug. 6 confrontation. Luque, 31, holds a 14-5 record in the UFC. Dos Anjos, meanwhile, has rattled off three wins in four outings. The former lightweight champion last competed on Dec. 3, when he put away Bryan Barberena with a neck crank in the second round of their UFC on ESPN 42 co-headliner. Dos Anjos, 38, has compiled a 21-12 mark in the UFC and remains the only man in history to eclipse eight hours of total fight time inside the Octagon.

UFC on ESPN 50 “Luque vs. Dos Anjos” also features a light heavyweight affair matching Khalil Rountree (-180) with Chris Daukaus (+150), a women’ strawweight duel pitting Iasmin Lucindo (-194) against Polyana Viana (+164) and a pair of middleweight tilts, as Tafon Nchukwi (-145) meets A.J. Dobson (+115) and Josh Fremd (-350) faces Josh Pickett (+250). Bantamweights anchor the undercard, where Marcus McGhee (-400) awaits J.P. Buys (+300) in a three-round encounter at 135 pounds.
