Joe Warren, on “Beatdown,” discussing whether he was pulled from Bellator 98 because he was knocked out in sparring:
“None of that actually happened. I read so many things. The organization asked me to be a little quiet about everything until we found everything out and knew exactly what these doctors said, so I was quiet but reading all this and it was funny. Being my age and the way I fight, the number one concern in our camp is that I don’t get hit in the head and that I learn how to try to defend these punches. I always have headgear on. I’ve not been hit hard … in a long time. No, I was never knocked out.”
