The Walkmen: UFC 211 ‘Miocic vs. Dos Santos 2’

By Mike Sloan May 14, 2017

UFC 211 on Saturday was the talk of the town in Dallas -- and rightfully so, as the Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight and women’s strawweight titles were on the line. The music that brought the combatants to the cage spurred discussion, too.

Stipe Miocic strolled to the Octagon to Machine Gun Kelly’s “Til I Die” ahead of his second title defense, while challenger and former champion Junior dos Santos opted for Bill Conti’s “Gonna Fly Now” in his bid to reclaim the heavyweight crown. Meanwhile, Joanna Jedrzejczyk went with an old staple -- Rena Gosc Gutek’s “Przejmij Ster W Swoje Dloine” -- in risking her 115-pound championship against Jessica Andrade. Parana Vale Tudo’s Andrade hoped Lumilla’s “Chegui” would carry her to an upset in the co-main event.

Other standout tracks included Pantera’s “Walk” (Chas Skelly), Rage Against the Machine’s “Guerilla Radio” (Chase Sherman), Giorgio Moroder’s “Scarface Theme Song” (Jorge Masvidal), Notorious B.I.G.’s “Kick in the Door” (Frankie Edgar), Jadakiss’ “Jason” (David Branch), McFadden & Whitehead’s “Ain’t No Stoppin’ Us Now” (Dustin Poirier), T.I.’s “Bring Em Out” (James Vick), Rob Zombie’s “Living Dead Girl” (Cortney Casey), Tierra Santa’s “Mejor Morir En Ple” (Gabriel Benitez) and Marat’s “Because I am a Highlander” (Gadzhimurad Antigulov).

A rundown of the remaining tracks:
