A lightweight title bout between champion
Antonio McKee and
Carlo Prater will now become a three-round, non-title affair, after Prater missed weight Thursday at the weigh-ins for MFC 22 “Payoff” at the River Cree Resort and Casino in Edmonton, Alberta. Prater weighed in at 158 pounds, while McKee was 156 pounds.
All other fighters made weight, including
Jason MacDonald, who will be returning to his hometown following a stint in the UFC. He will be facing “The Ultimate Fighter 4” winner
Travis Lutter in the main event of the live telecast Friday at 10:00 p.m. EST on HDNet.
A scheduled bout between
Mike Bruno and Evan Sanquin was cancelled, after Bruno sustained an injury in training.
