Mayhem, Trigg to Co-Headline Reckless Abandon
Middleweights Frank Trigg
(Pictures) and Jason "Mayhem" Miller will
co-headline HDNet's "Reckless Abandon," slated for the American
Airlines Center in Dallas on Dec. 15.
"We're thrilled to have these talented and entertaining fighters on board with HDNet Fights," said HDNet owner Mark Cuban in a news release. "Our goal is to present the best fighters in the best fights we can make. These are two of the top middleweights in the world and we are fortunate enough to have them both fighting on the same card."
Trigg, 35, whose career mixed martial arts record stands at 15-6-0, will share the cage with fellow UFC veteran Edwin Dewees (Pictures).
The bout will mark Trigg's first action since Robbie Lawler (Pictures) stopped him in March. The 25-year-old Dewees, coming off two defeats to the likes of Jorge Rivera (Pictures) and Art Santore (Pictures), owns a respectable record of 34-10-0.
In another clash of Octagon vets, Miller, 26, will confront Sean Salmon (Pictures).
"Mayhem," 19-5-0, was recently released from Zuffa-owned World Extreme Cagefighting following a unanimous decision over Hiromitsu Miura (Pictures), which was his lone contest under the WEC banner. Salmon, 30, will enter the bout on the heels of three straight victories over light heavyweights Jason Jones, Mikko Rupponen (Pictures) and Marcus Vinicios. The former Ohio State University wrestler is 14-4-0.
On the undercard, Yves Edwards (Pictures) battles Alonzo Martinez. Pete Spratt (Pictures), Chris Bowles (Pictures), Jason House (Pictures) and CB Dollaway (Pictures) will square off with yet-to-be-announced opponents.
