Five new fights were officially added Monday to WEC 52 “Faber vs. Mizugaki,” which will go down on Nov. 11 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

Rounding out the main card will be a featherweight scrap between Chad Mendes and Javier Vasquez and a bantamweight contest between Eddie Wineland and Damacio Page.

Joining his training partner at Team Alpha Male on the card, Mendes is undefeated in eight outings, with half his wins coming by either knockout or submission. A two-time All-American wrestler, Mendes’ takedowns are his strong suit and have guided him to three victories inside the WEC cage over the likes of Erik Koch, Anthony Morrison and Cub Swanson.

Fighting out of Pomona, Calif., Vazquez (15-4) is coming off back-to-back submission wins in the WEC. Prior to that, the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu fighter rattled of five straight victories before losing his first two fights in the WEC by split decision. The native Cuban has earned 10 of his 15 victories by submission.

First-ever WEC bantamweight champion Wineland (17-6-1) has reeled off three straight victories, including a win over former title contender Manny Tapia. Wineland won the title at WEC 20 by knocking out Antonio Banuelos in the first round, but dropped the strap in his first title defense against Chase Beebe just 11 months later at WEC 26.

Page (15-4) has won seven of his last eight bouts, most recently earning back-to-back wins over Will Campuzano and Marcos Galvao. “The Angel of Death” started his career with six straight wins. He trains at Jackson’s Mixed Martial Arts in Albuquerque, N.M., and is 3-1 since joining the WEC.

The undercard will feature a lightweight contest between Zachary Micklewright and Dustin Poirier, as well as a bantamweight tilt between Clint Godfrey and Michael MacDonald. New to the card is a featherweight matchup featuring Cub Swanson and Mackens Semerzier.
