AMA Fight Club is home to two of the UFC's gamest competitors: brothers Jim and Dan Miller. While the facility often serves as the setting for grueling fight preparation, it will play a different role on Saturday, when the gym will host a seminar to raise money for Dan Miller's one-year-old son, Danny, who has polycystic kidney disease (PKD).

Danny was born with the genetic disorder, which causes cysts to form in groups on his kidneys that inhibit kidney function. PKD can be painful, as the affected person experiences unusual swelling of the kidneys, diminished kidney function and, potentially, total renal failure.

The young Miller has already had both kidneys removed and must undergo a kidney transplant. For the time being, he undergoes daily dialysis to remove the harmful wastes from his body. All money raised by Saturday's proceedings will be used to help Danny.

The fundraiser will consist of two sessions featuring UFC talents Chris Weidman and Charlie Brenneman in addition to the Miller brothers and “Ultimate Fighter” Season 12 alumnus Andy Main.

The morning session will serve as a lesson in submission grappling, while the afternoon attraction will showcase muay Thai kickboxing. Each session costs a $100 donation to the Daniel James Miller Foundation. However, those who wish to attend both sessions may do so at discounted rate of a $175 donation, which includes lunch and a meet-and-greet provided by the Miller family.

Seminars are available to participants aged 12 and older. AMA Fight Club is located at 831 Route 10 East in Whippany, N.J. Introductions will be made at 9:45 a.m. by AMA owner Mike Constantino, and the grappling seminar begins at 10 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon, and the striking seminar will begin at 1 p.m.

Those not wishing to participate on the mat can also make donations, and those in attendance will be eligible for prizes via a raffle, including fight-worn gear and memorabilia. Anyone unable to attend the Saturday's event may still donate to Danny's cause by visiting www.DanielJamesMillerFoundation.wordpress.com.
