Aaron Jeffery made a case for a Legacy Fighting Alliance middleweight title shot with the biggest victory of his career at LFA 93.
In the co-main event, Sam Hughes took on Danielle Hindley at a 120-pound catchweight. "Sampage" immediately established an advantage on the feet and ended the round with a bang by locking in a guillotine choke that forced Hindley (4-2) unconscious. The fight was declared over after the bell rang, giving Hughes (5-1) a technical submission win at an official time of 5:00.
Josh Fremd put a beating on Antonio Jones, who missed the middleweight limit by seven pounds. Fremd (6-1) knocked down Jones (7-4) with a big right hand that caused him to fall to the floor and then hit him once more to finish the fight at 3:18 of Round 1. This marks the fourth straight loss for Jones after starting his pro mixed martial arts career with seven victories.
In featherweight action, Elijah Johns faced off against Luke Faultersack. Johns (7-1) was a step ahead of Faultersack (6-4) throughout and put on a dominant display over 15 minutes while landing plenty of damaging strikes. The judges awarded Johns scores of 30-27, 30-27, and 30-26.
Justin Wetzell and Teshay Gouthro had a back-and-forth battle at a 140-pound catchweight. The grappling of Wetzell (6-1) wound up being the difference maker as he repeatedly took down and controlled Gouthro (3-1) in the final frame. This late effort was enough for Wetzell to take a unanimous decision with 29-28 scores across the board.
Flyweights Carlos Hernandez and Trevor Wells put on a fun fight that went the distance. Both men had their moments but it was Hernandez (5-1) that regularly won exchanges and was able to out-grapple Wells (3-2) as well. After 15 minutes of action, judges awarded scores of 30-27, 29-28, and 30-27 in the favor of Hernandez
Joshua DaSilveira cruised to a submission win over Fernando Alvarado to open the main card. After dominating the first two rounds, DaSilveira (3-0) locked in an arm triangle in the third. Alvarado (1-2) was forced to tap out at the 3:35 mark.
In preliminary action, Christian Rodriguez (4-0) submitted John Pham (2-1) with a rear-naked choke at 1:47 of the second frame.
